I purchased this one for my 8 yr old daughter, since she is just a beginner and it fits our budget. As she gets older and is more familiarize to the sounds she can definitely upgrade to what she likes (It’s definitely a keeper, I love the sound). In the mean time, the travel size makes it more convenient. It is small, yet is packs a punch with the sound. Sound can be comparable to the full size. Also, we purchased this guzheng in person. I am very happy and excited with my purchase for my daughter.
